I have completed my course on travel writing. The instructor, Tiffany, and I have become friends and have talked on the phone a couple of times. She is terrific!! I have learned so much. She has been very encouraging and is on me to try and publish. I am flabbergasted. I have been drafting a query letter to send to magazines and web sites. She told me that I should first try for publications that pay. I can't believe I'm on the road to being an actual published journalist. It's a long held dream of mine to write about my travels and I'm now taking the first step. I will announce when and if it does get publish, I promise.
On another note, I have signed up for the Revlon 5K walk for women's cancers. I've never done anything like that before and I am in awe of the response for donations from my friends. I have the best, generous, most wonderful friends in the world. I am almost up to raising $1000 in 3 days. People who know me know that I am known to say "People stink!", but I have to exclude every one of my friends from that assessment. I love you all!!
