slow socks

I am the slowest knitter ever. I'm still on sock #1, but it's looking pretty good. That funny bump on the back is because I didn't cast on enough stiches to begin with and made them up on the pattern part. I think it will disappear when they are on. I hope.

Brit says he looks like a bat in this photo. He's on a hunger strike now. Evidently dry food isn't good enough any more. It's killing me; I'm half Italian and I love it when everyone is eating! I will probably give in before he does.

My Elfa units are ready! They are going to call for a date to install. Yippee!!

More yarn

I was out today to find a book on blogging, when I happened to stop in at Michaels. A friend of mine is having a baby, so I really needed to buy more yarn. I really did. And it was on sale. I already had the pattern, OK?

Still learning

OK, I finally got the photo ID thing. I'm still trying to figure out out to embed links in my blog. Give me time -- I'll do it.

I'm at the end of a remodel of my house. I now have a studio!! I'm getting some elfa units from the Container Store to organize it all. This is a before picture.

I couldn't add this photo to my profile so I put it here so you can see what I look like.

I'm a new blogger, egged on by my pal, Ellen Bloom. I plan to post my knitting, photos from my trips and other things. I'll try not to post too many pictures of my cat.



I am working on about 6 different projects right now. The latest is some socks. I haven't gotten too far. I started them because after visiting Abulitas in South Pasadena last Saturday with Ellen and her friends Marcia and Christine, I needed a project to work on, so I bought needles, yarn and the Vogue More Socks book there. I am hopeless when it comes to knitting.

The socks so far...



It's only the first sock. I'm weird -- I look forward to the second one.
